Dear Fountain Valley Community,
Given the current landscape around public health and large events (indoors or outdoors), the Chamber Board has made the very difficult decision to entirely cancel the Fountain Fall Festival and Parade event this Labor Day weekend. El Paso County Public Health Order 2020-06, which we are currently under, states that “outdoor, private special events are limited to the lesser of 50% fire code occupancy or 250 people per activity.” If you have attended our signature event before, you are aware this event can easily bring in thousands of people who join us every year to celebrate all that the Fountain Valley has to offer.
We understand this news will sadden you as much as it does us but we will continue to provide you with the high quality service you have come to enjoy, and offer programs and networking opportunities throughout the remainder of 2020. We are also in conversations with the Fountain Fire Auxiliary on supporting their annual Christmas toy drive as we anticipate a greater need this year and will have more to come on that!
The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce is here to support businesses in the Fountain Valley. While the pandemic has changed the way we all do business, we will adapt as so many of you have, and continue to meet your needs. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Warmest Regards,
Tom Downing
