The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce (FVCC) was founded in 1969.

The purpose of the Chamber is to improve the overall business climate for its members through sponsorship and support of mutually supportive activities which promote business and support the overall business climate, stimulate tourism and economic growth, promote civic development and enhance the quality of life for our citizens.

Dan Blankenship

President, Fountian Valley chamber of Commerce.

Dan Blankenship is a notable figure in the Fountain Valley community.  As Dan likes to say, his day job is the Utilities Director for the City of Fountain. As the Utilities Director, Dan oversees a municipally owned utility enterprise that provides electric and drinking water services to 18,000 + utility customers in the Fountain Valley. The combined utility enterprise has an annual operating budget of $45 million. On the Chamber of Commerce Board, Dan represents the City of Fountain, which partners with the Chamber of Commerce to provide services that support businesses throughout the community.  Dan grew up in Canon City and has a Civil Engineering Degree from Colorado State University.  He is a registered Professional Engineer with 38 years of experience in local government administration, utilities and public works, operations and engineering. Dan has been with the City of Fountain for 5 years and he is a Fountain resident.  Dan's vision for Fountain Valley includes initiatives to boost economic growth, enhance public services, and foster a strong sense of community among residents.  Dan is highly regarded for his ability to bring people together and for his commitment to making Fountain Valley a thriving place to live and work.  Beyond his role as President, Dan is involved in various community activities and is known for his approachable and inclusive leadership style.

Traci Kinnischtzke

Vice President

I’ve supported my husband’s custom farming business in Fountain Valley for over 30 years, utilizing my bookkeeping and digital marketing education. Community service has been a priority, with roles on boards, youth programs, and Little League coaching. As Vice President of the Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce, I discovered my passion for real estate with Blue Picket Realty. Outside work, I cherish time with my family. 

Janie Mills

Plans and Operations

Small business owner at Granny Ma’s Catering, serving simple to elegant catering options. Married to Michael Mills, they own a hobby farm with peacocks, goats, chickens, ducks, and two horses. Janie serves her community by organizing Neighborhood Watch and serving on the Fountain Valley Chamber board. They have five adult children and twelve grandchildren. In her free time, Janie enjoys gardening and spending sunny afternoons with her family at their farm.



Christy McGee

Board Member At Large

Christy McGee is the Director of Communications at Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 (FFC8), where she leads strategies to improve communications and community outreach. She serves the diverse and military-connected population of Fountain and Fort Carson, aligning district goals with community needs. Christy has over ten years of experience in school communications and has previously held a leadership role at Mesa County Valley School District 51.

Samatha Bridges

Board Member At Large

I’m the Director of Communication for Widefield School District 3, with 11 years of PR experience. I hold a BA in Journalism from Colorado State University and earned my APR in 2020. I lead PR associations, including COSPRA (President-Elect) and the Pikes Peak PRSA chapter. I’m also a board member for Fountain Valley Scholars, a non-profit that provides college scholarships. Before education, I was a broadcast journalist. My husband and I enjoy outdoor activities with our daughter.
